Artist’s Statement

I am a self-taught artist based in Warkworth who has been painting for 15 years. My paintings are semi-abstract, an exploration of colour and light using both emotive and pictorial elements.  

Born in Napier, as a child my family holidays were spent tramping and camping throughout New Zealand. The first seeds for my painting were sown amidst those glorious sunsets, mountains and beaches. Since then, I have been immersed in an array of magical and inspiring vistas, constantly inspiring my passion to translate their beauty through art.
