Artist’s Statement

I am a self-taught artist who has been painting for 12 years. My paintings are semi-abstract, an exploration of colour and light using both emotive and pictorial elements.  

Born in Napier and now based in Auckland, I spent childhood holidays throughout New Zealand, constantly inspired by land and skyscapes. My passions have always included sunsets and mountains - whether it be climbing, gazing at them or translating their beauty through art.
